How To Put The Favicon In Your Blog

You might as well wondering how our co bloggers were able to put the tiny image beside their URL. I was also astounded and curious how they did it. But that was before, as you can see I have my own image in my URL when you open my website.
This post will be the instructions on how to put one. Thanks to Wonderful Things In Life, I have learned this from her.
  • First, you have to create a tiny image you like, the size should be 17 x 17, or 36 x 36 as suggested by my friend Life of a Navy Wife. You can upload the image in photobucket so to make sure of the size. Photobucket will help you to provide the code. In which, you may need it later.
  • Then log on to your blogsphere, click the lay out as showed with the color red below

  • Click the Edit Html in color blue below

  • When you are already in your edit HTML, find this code in your template

To read the code clearly just click it
  • After finding the code above you should insert the tiny image of the code that the Photobucket provided for you. It should be after the code above. Mine is indicated with the color pink below.

Click the image for you to view the whole page
You may notice after you follow the instructions above the logo will change.

Mine is from the logo above

To my image above

Special thanks to Genny I was able to screen shot the window I’d like to put here.

Hi Ate Anne!! Very helpful and nice post πŸ™‚ Just want to share something that I know, too so others may have an idea as well..

About the Favicon size, on my blog, I used a 36×36 size image. I think the bigger the size of the image you’ll be using, the better πŸ™‚

hehehe kinopya ko lang din kay genny sabi kasi doon the smaller the size the page will upload fast. so I used the 17 x 17 size

  5. genny says:

oo the better but the problem kay it takes time to download your blog…A friend who teach me about this said that…

I love your site πŸ™‚ Very girly..And the color and design is so pretty!! πŸ™‚

hehehe ok lang yun gurl the more suggestions we get the more learnings we can take. Ang hirap din kasi ng mga codes sa blogger nakakasakit ng ulo hehehe… without you theres no way I will learn about how to put the background and without genny I never have a very nice header… salamat gurls. i really appreciate it a lot.

Welcome ‘te πŸ™‚ Kakahilo nga sila minsan pero pag naayos naman natin, worth it naman yung pagkaduling sa kahahanap kung saan sila ilalagay..

Here’s a little tip: One easy step in locating where to put your codes is to use CTRL+F while you’re at the HTML section..Just copy the first few part of the codes you’re trying to locate and place them on the find box and hit the button “FIND”..It will take you to the corresponding codes, but before doing any editing, make sure first you compare the codes and double check if they match..If they did, you can go on with what you were doing πŸ™‚ It’s a lot easier than scrolling down and locating them one by one..It works for me..I hope it will work for you as well πŸ™‚
