Finally!

I really thought that I won’t be able to realized of repairing the kitchen but thank GOD I am finally doing it. Last Friday I thought twice of repairing because I was thinking of the car too. But we always prioritize the car ever since. I always left the house behind when it comes to maintenance because the car is broke again. This time I guess it’s the house turn. I called the carpenter and told him to push through the repair this Saturday. So last Friday I bought some hinges for the cabinets both kitchen and in the bedroom, I am also asking them to put a stand for the two speakers.

Yesterday I bought a 60 x 60 granite/ceramics tiles. We choose the color black, my niece said it would match perfectly to the color of the house which is white. I also bought a stainless sink with anti most at the bottom part. I was so happy because I was able to pick the affordable one compared if I bought the same sink in the mall. I bought a new faucet, this time its not wall mounted, it is a single hand goose type faucet. I can’t wait to see the final revision of our kitchen sink especially when the kids said that they like the color of the tiles I picked.

Will Be Having A Kitchen Renovation Very Soon!

It has been months that I am planning to at least have a renovation in our house. At first I was thinking in adding one bedroom so it could mean extension but I realized I would need a huge amount of money for that. My niece suggested modifying the kitchen and since one of my goal this year is to make some repair or renovation to any part of the house, I agree with the suggestion. I was looking for a carpenter for how many months already, good thing my sister knows someone who could do it and finally we were able to see each other this morning.

We agreed to retain the cabinet door; we will just replace the hinges since most of it is busted already. I also told her to install a cabinet door since the cabinet just above the sink doesn’t have any. Of course we will be replacing the tiles, I am still thinking what color and what kind of tiles we will be buying hope to find the most affordable ones but look very classy. I was also asking if he could put a stand of our 2 speakers and another cabinet door in our bedroom.

I am so excited and can’t wait to see the finish work, the carpenter said that he can finish it in 3 days and since he will start on Saturday, I am expecting him to finish it on Monday.

Thinking To Renovate The Kitchen

I and my niece were talking one day, I told her I was confused of what to do first, is it the living room door to be replaced or to repair the kitchen. And while looking at our kitchen, I realized it needs a modification very badly. I’m checking for some small kitchen styles and designs, I could not put an extension yet since the budget is limited. But checking of some designs alone online is not enough. I need to check in Home Depot to see some tile designs and colors. I don’t have time for now to go to some Home Depot maybe next week; I am also waiting for a carpenter to do the kitchen.

4 Ways to Be Bold About What You Want for Your Home Décor

In the case of professional home décor, some people feel nervous, and even meek, about hiring an interior designer. However, to achieve the look and ambience that you want in your house, you need to be bold and passionate about the ideas you have for your décor. Here are 4 ways to express yourself to an interior designer to ensure you get what you want.

Hire an Interior Designer with an Open Mind

Some of the most famed interior designers are notorious for being sticklers about their own design ideas. However, to implement your own creative flow, snag an interior design with an open mind and positive perspective. These attributes in someone else will allow you to express your design ideas with an open heart and a free flow of creative energy. You can collaborate instead of dictate or step aside.

Be Honest, Creative, and Passionate

When expressing your interior design and home décor ideas, do so with passion, conviction, creativity, and honesty. You are the one that has to live with your décor decisions, so be honest if you hate one pattern but love another. It’s your home, after all. You should have say in your interior design from the start.

Reference Samples or Examples Whenever Possible

Give your interior design some kind of example or sample whenever possible. They might need to see your ideas before they can turn them into realities. Or, if samples are unavailable, try to describe your design ideas in copious details to help your designer gain a mental picture. You should also brush up on design lingo to better express your thoughts with words that an interior decorator would understand instantly.

Don’t Be Afraid to Fire and Rehire

If your interior designer is less than what you expected, or if you simply don’t mesh well in terms of ideas and moods, don’t be afraid to hire someone else. It’s your prerogative. Sure, it’s tough to fire someone from a job that you planned. But, if you compensate them for their time, there’s no reason why you can’t let an incompatible interior designer go in favor of someone a little more compatible with your design tastes. Do your research for kitchen remodeling Cook County IL, or wherever you may be located, and go from there.

As you’ve seen, there are several ways to convey what you want, respectfully and politely, in terms of your home décor. Keep in mind that you should never feel bullied into making a décor decision. And you should always leave an interior design experience with positive reviews and a good feeling.
