She Bid Goodbye

Many things just happen today, actually since yesterday. One of my first posts before was my Aunt Eve who got sick. The unexpected illness that we never even imagined she will going to have it. I mean, of all people. Why should she have it?

It was early this year. March to be exact that we found out she has a cervix cancer. Everyone was stunned when we learned that she already have it since last October. She hid it from us. We just knew it when she was rushed to the hospital on March.

To witness her suffering when she was still alive was really painful also to each one of us. She used to be the voice of everyone. When she spoke, everyone listen. To hear her screaming for pain, deafening our ears.

Her suffering was ended early afternoon yesterday. Her daughter tried so hard to tell us through phone. But it seems like she does not want us to know, that she is gone. Our phone never ring. It was later last night that the messages push through. We were shocked when we got the news. A part of our heart saddened because one of our closest cousin, a friend to my sisters, and a very strong aunt for me left and will never come back. And another part was glad because the agony just ended.

She just bid goodbye. She is now taking the steps outside our world. Where her husband awaits her. They are together now in a journey for the endless world.

Her body ashes but her memory will always remain.
